Dulux have announced their 2021 Colour Of The Year and it’s giving us all the tile style inspo!
‘Brave Ground’ is a warm, neutral shade that takes inspiration from the ‘mood of the moment’ and highlights just how much of an impact our interior décor can have on our outlook and our mood. Dulux says:
‘What has emerged from our trend forecast this year is that we’re all reassessing what really matters in our lives. We’re taking stock and finding a new and positive way forward by having faith in ourselves, working together, building on the past and planning for the future. It takes courage to embrace change and our homes can help provide a solid and supportive foundation, as well as giving us the scope to be creative.’
With this positive message in mind, and with our new found inspiration from the Dulux 2021 Colour Of The Year, we’re taking a look at how you can use your tiles to incorporate the Brave Ground hues and what it represents.
Our Favourite Brave Ground Inspired Tiles
Johnsons Cambridge Old Stone Texture Tiles
Of course, we couldn’t feature a nature-inspired tile without featuring a beautiful stone effect tile.
The Johnsons Cambridge Old Stone Texture Tiles embody a natural, calming ambience. Combine this with their beautiful, rustic natural stone texture and you’ve created yourself a natural escape that simply oozes elegance.
Pair the Johnsons Cambridge Tiles with vibrant yet tranquil shades of blue, as shown in the bathroom above, and truly create tranquil vibes with a flash of creative flair and distinct character.
CE Decor Series Marble Glass Mosaic Tiles
The eagle eyed among you may have noticed that the CE Decor Tiles aren’t in fact Brave Ground in colour. Ranging from bold reds and vibrant blues, to elegant greys and calming beige shades, CE Decor Tiles offer an array of beautiful tones. And, as the Brave Ground shade is the height of simplicity and neutrality, it’s perfect for pairing with these tiles.
Take the Red Marble Glass Mosaic, for example, which creates a bold, daring statement when used in your interior space, but, when paired with a natural shade, such as Brave Ground doesn’t overpower, but rather creates contemporary, elegant striking spaces that will turn heads for all the right reasons and ignite that ‘creative’ scope Dulux have drawn upon.
Johnsons Drift Autumn Reeds
Brave Ground is a warm and inviting shade that already creates an effortless connection with the natural world. But, why stop there? Combine Brave Ground and its associated shades with natural, earthy tones such as greens and deeper shades of brown to truly create a natural sanctuary.
The Johnsons Drift Autumn Reed Tiles encapsulate this perfectly thanks to their amalgamation of beige and brown tones and linear brushstrokes that draw on the autumn season they are named after. Add a touch of greenery to bring the outside world in and truly compliment the warm tones and welcoming ambience that Brave Ground brings.
While on the surface ‘Brave Ground’ may seem like simply a new neutral shade that we’ve all seen before, it’s clear that, despite its neutrality, Brave Ground, along with other beige tones, brings a raft of stylistic opportunities. So, whether you want to combine with a sophisticated splash of bold colour or simply expand on the the natural ambience of Brave Ground, we hope you enjoy incorporating this colour into your tiles and home as much as we do.
